Dental Implant Surgery Timeline
Your implant consultation will be approximately 45-60 minutes. The fee for this consult is $ 97.00.
Your consult is a time reserved for you to ask questions and understand the dental implant procedure. At this visit, we will take a thorough health history, 3D Cone Beam x-ray (fee of $ 295 usually not reimbursed by insurance), digital impressions of the area of concern and explain the implant procedure to you. We encourage you to bring your decision maker with you.
Your appointment for *implant placement will usually be scheduled within 1-3 weeks of your consult appointment when you accept treatment. It takes 10-14 days for Dr. Ryan to plan your implant surgery; request, and receive your CT implant guide. A deposit is required when you schedule your implant surgery. The fee for the guide is usually sufficient for the non-refundable deposit of $ 350.00+ (varies depending on the number of implants we are placing). Larger cases may require a larger deposit.
For a single implant placement you will be in our office for approximately 60 minutes. For multiple implant cases, your time will vary depending on the number of implants we are placing. Dr. Ryan will review this with you once you decide to schedule your appointment and agree on treatment.
Post operative timeline (These visits are included in your fee):
2 - 3 weeks from your surgery date - remove stitches/post op check appointment (5- 20 min)
In approximately 5 weeks, you will need a post op appointment to remove non-resorbable membrane (if placed to protect your bone graft).(15-30 min)
You will be seen every 4-6 weeks if and/or as needed for a quick check of the implant healing (5-20 min)
4- 6 months from your surgery date, we will uncover the implant (30-40 min). The uncovering consists of numbing the area, removing the small piece of tissue covering the implant, testing the implant to make sure it is osseointegrated (fused to the bone) and placing a healing abutment if ready.
Your general dentist will be notified when your treatment is complete with Dr. Ryan and you will return to your general dentist’s office for impressions for your crown. (This is a separate fee so please discuss with your general dentist)
We continue to provide post operative checks of your implant every year.
*If your implant cannot be placed immediately, and you require bone grafting and/or guided tissue regeneration at the time of your extraction, you will be seen periodically for 4-6 months to re-evaluate the site and schedule your implant placement as soon as possible.

REFERRING DOCTORS LOVE US
"Had an overall great experience with Dr. Ryan. The staff was very courteous and professional. Most important, the work they did, (two implants, to hold lower dentures) was very secure and I'm free of the hassle and pain. I was concerned at first but he answered all my questions and the whole procedure went well. I definitely would recomend them if you need that type of work done. 2 thumbs up!"

"Best doc we have ever been to. My son felt safe and relaxed with him and his staff."

"The office is well run. Everyone I had contact with was friendly and knowledgeable. Procedures were explained and all questions answered. Oral surgery can be an intimidating proposition, but Dr. Ryan and his staff are sensitive to that by providing excellent pain management and results."
