3D Dental Technology: Cone Beam Arvada, CO

Using Cone Beam 3D radiology, our team at Mountain Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center is able to create a precise map of your mouth. This advanced technology allows Dr. Ryan to view highly accurate images, from every angle, in a precise format, while creating a treatment plan for you. With this technology, Dr. Ryan is able to provide you with the highest caliber of services in restoring your dental health.

What is 3D Cone Beam Radiography?

3D Cone Beam radiology provides us with a fully digital x-ray of the entire oral cavity. Images captured from the 3D Cone Beam offers Dr. Ryan a much broader range of information than a standard flat x-ray can provide. With the images, Dr. Ryan is able to review a complete visual map of your oral cavity, viewing bone, soft and hard tissues, nerves and blood vessels. With this information, we are then able to create a plan for your situation from every angle. This amount of information is ideal when placing single tooth implants, or when plotting the placement of several implants. Dr. Ryan values this information because it allows our team to create a plan that will better meet the patient’s needs.

Cone Beam for Dental Implant Placement

Cone beam technology is an incredible tool in placing your dental implant. With it we can view the patient’s:

•  Bone Health: We are able to view the health, density, and volume of available bone. If necessary, we can either make surgical arrangements for implantation in the healthier bone, or plan a simple bone graft.
•  Facial Map: 3D image of the overall oral cavity and facial characteristics. This map will assist us in creating a surgical guide for the placement of dental implants.
•  Prosthetics: We can then create your prosthodontic device or other orthodontic appliances using CAD/CAM technology.

Cone Beam technology is so sensitive that we are able to view subtle variations in the patient’s bone density, this helps us predict the patient’s future dental conditions and determine the long term success of surgical procedures.

A Versatile Dental Technology

The information gathered is not limited to implants, with the Cone Beam radiography information, we can also diagnose, and create a surgical plan for a variety of procedures. With the information collected from your 3D Cone Beam radiograph, we are able to gain the following information:

•  Pulp and Root: Images provided allows us to observe the pulp and root of the tooth, which may be necessary for endodontic pathology, diagnosis and treatment.
•  Impacted: Images can provide views of the health and current positioning of impacted teeth.
•  Nerves: Images help us identify the inferior alveolar nerve and mental foramen location.
•  Sinus: Images help us identify precisely where the maxillary sinus is located.
•  Tumors: We can identify and locate the presence of odontogenic lesions or tumors.
•  TMJ Disorder: We can evaluate your temporomandibular joint and help diagnose the cause.

WHY OUR PATIENTS &
REFERRING DOCTORS LOVE US

"Had an overall great experience with Dr. Ryan. The staff was very courteous and professional. Most important, the work they did, (two implants, to hold lower dentures) was very secure and I'm free of the hassle and pain. I was concerned at first but he answered all my questions and the whole procedure went well. I definitely would recomend them if you need that type of work done. 2 thumbs up!"
~ Keith I.
"Best doc we have ever been to. My son felt safe and relaxed with him and his staff."
~ George G.

"The office is well run. Everyone I had contact with was friendly and knowledgeable. Procedures were explained and all questions answered. Oral surgery can be an intimidating proposition, but Dr. Ryan and his staff are sensitive to that by providing excellent pain management and results."
~ Lisa S.
