This process provides dentures that are attached directly to your jawbone, meaning no adhesives, the roof of your mouth is not covered and there is no shifting or wiggling of your denture. Dr. Ryan wants to show you how the All-on-4® Treatment Concept can increase your comfort, ease of chewing, and overall happiness.
Regain Your Full Smile with All-on-4® Treatment Concept
The All-on-4® Treatment Concept provides patients with dentures that are:
How can the All-on-4® Treatment Concept help me regain my smile?
When a patient has reached a state that dentures are needed, whether due to decay, injury, or medical necessity, there is often a feeling of dread. Dentures have never been known for their comfort, only for their limited function and limited aesthetic. Often, patients express social anxiety and frustration with their dentures. Even after getting used to their new teeth, with time, the shape of their mouths change due to bone loss, so there is never really reaching a full level of comfort. The All-on-4® Treatment Concept changes this. This system permanently attaches your denture device to your jaw with the placement of four dental implants.
Surgically retained, your denture device will be considerably more comfortable. Your denture will not slip, will not rock, will not cause sore spots. Our patients find that with the All-on-4® Treatment Concept that they can chew the foods they want, and never have to remove their dentures, or have their dentures come out unexpectedly, embarrassing them. Also, because we are surgically restoring missing tooth roots with implants, the bone is once again getting the stimulation it needs to stay strong, meaning that the patient's facial structure is mostly retained and supported.
Can I get the All-on-4® Treatment Concept if I already have dentures?
Yes! The All-on-4® Treatment Concept is different than typical implants. Most implants require jaw bone that is of a certain width and mass for placement, but the implants we use in the All-on-4® Treatment Concept are different. We place implants that are longer and angled in such a way that the implants are inserted into thicker, denser bone. Patients can come into our office with their dentures in hand and leave with their dentures permanently retained.
A Reason to Smile
Our team, including Dr. Ryan would love to discuss this system, and how advancements in dentistry can allow you to have fully functioning teeth, even after you have lost them. Our mouths are important to us; we use our mouths multiple times a day to talk, eat, and even to kiss, let us help you have a mouth that will make you want to smile.
All-on-4® Treatment Concept: A Lower Cost Solution
Dentures can be a quick fix, but the time and money they cost in the long run can be very costly. Patients can reduce the costs, frustrations, and discomfort by taking the correct steps from the beginning. The All-on-4® Treatment Concept has all of your cost in one procedure, and then you never have to worry about it again. Our staff at Mountain Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center would love to show you the difference, and how you will actually save money, while getting teeth that you never have to think about. Dr. Ryan can make a significant difference in your beauty, function and pocketbook.
How can the All-on-4® Treatment Concept save me money?
When a patient has reached the point that they no longer have any remaining healthy teeth, there is more happening than just what they can see. Changes in your bone and tissue occur, these changes will force the patient to seek constant treatment and adjustments.
One of the biggest changes that happens after the loss of teeth is a biological reaction from the supporting bone. Bone is a living tissue, it requires motion and movement to stay strong. As we use our bones, and muscles, our body continues to send cells to rejuvenate and keep these tissues healthy. Once we stop using them, the body stops sending those cells, it pulls in those resources that it has deemed no longer necessary. This reaction of bone loss is swift, patients will lose approximately 25% of bone in that area in the first year, and then continue to experience bone loss in the years following.
What patients don’t understand is that this loss of bone means that your dentures will not be enough. They will soon not fit correctly and have to be readjusted or remade. Your dentures will never really fit right, because bone loss is continual. This means that you will continue to spend money. Patients with dentures will need to pay for:
The All-on-4® Treatment Concept is a one time charge. We take your dentures, either the dentures that you already have, or new ones that we create for you, and then surgically retain them with four dental implants. By surgically retaining them, you are:
The All-on-4® Treatment Concept will save you time, hassle, and most importantly embarrassment. Dr. Ryan will show you how. Don’t live with discomfort, we can help.

Can I get the All-on-4® Treatment Concept?
Our patients can express a variety of concerns that can impact their feelings on having their dentures retained with implants. From cost concerns to health concerns, and length of time or healing, we are happy to answer your questions.
Dr. Ryan has assisted a wide variety of patients in getting the superior oral care they need. For patients who are missing all of their teeth, or no longer have any healthy teeth remaining, the All-on-4® Treatment Concept is the superior service that will restore function and comfort.
Is the All-on-4® Treatment Concept Costly?
When comparing costs, there are several factors to consider. Be sure to rate initial cost and long term cost, as well as to consider ranking overall comfort and function. The initial cost when obtaining the All-on-4® Treatment Concept may seem high, but the long-term costs should be nil. Patients wearing traditional dentures may have lower upfront costs, but will continuously pay for adjustments, over the counter adhesives and cleaners, and will more frequently require new dentures be made. Also, patients will pay a huge physical price as their jawbone mass absorbs, altering the look and structure of their face. Patients who wear traditional dentures will also pay the price of avoiding certain foods which are known to dislodge or loosen their dentures. The All-on-4® Treatment Concept provides patients with permanent, strong dentures that will stay in place and give them the ultimate gift of peace of mind.
Will the All-on-4® Treatment Concept work with my medical needs?
When considering a patient’s medical needs, we will need to consider each patient individually. There are several facets to consider.
The All-on-4® Treatment Concept is secured with the placement of four dental implants
Traditional dentures are loose, adhering with suction and over the counter adhesives. This is a set-up for failure. The All-on-4® Treatment Concept is secured with the placement of four dental implants. Whether in your upper arch or your lower arch, this system secures your denture permanently in place, allowing it to function as your natural teeth did. The All-on-4® Treatment Concept uses different implants than other tooth implant systems. Standard implants rely on healthy bone for placement, but this system is designed differently. The implants are longer and placed at an angle, meaning that your available bone density is not a concern for placement. Patients love the All-on-4® Treatment Concept option for many reasons, including:
Placing Your All-On-4® Treatment Concept Denture
Placing your All-On-4® Treatment Concept dentures begins with an examination performed by Dr. Ryan. Together, you will consider your options and decide on a treatment plan that works best for your medical, dental and financial needs. Our implant retained denture All-On-4® Treatment Concept system takes your denture device, either one that you already have, or one that we create for you, and surgically attaches it to your jaw with four titanium posts. The posts are biocompatible devices that resemble screws. Numerous studies have shown that the body is willing to heal around titanium, fusing it to the bone, making it a firm part of your skeleton. As your body incorporates the titanium into your bone, the bond becomes strong and firm.
Immediate Function with All-on-4® Treatment Concept
For most dental implant procedures, the process can take months, but not with the All-on-4® Treatment Concept. Dr. Ryan can surgically place your dentures for immediate use faster, easier, and with less discomfort than you think. Our staff at Mountain Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center can help you gain the aesthetic, comfort and function that you once had by permanently retaining your dentures.
The All-on-4® Treatment Concept Process
We can surgically retain your dentures, meaning they are permanently stabilized in your mouth, no wiggling, no rocking, no adhesives. This system takes four dental implants, implants that are designed to be longer and placed in the denser bone, and with these implants, we surgically install your dentures for a permanent fit. The real work in this procedure is in the planning. Once a treatment plan has been arranged, the procedure and healing time are the easy part.
What’s involved in planning my All-on-4® Treatment Concept?
Unlike other implant procedures, the amount and size of your bone is not a factor in determining candidacy for implant placement. Even if you have already been wearing dentures for years, we can retain your dentures with the All-on-4® Treatment Concept system.
Planning your treatment begins with gaining information. We will want to predict the level of success in the bone fusing with the implants. Successful implantation requires the ability to heal; patients can sometimes suffer from medical issues that slow healing, or take medication that can slow healing. This does not eliminate a person as a candidate for surgery, but we will want to work with your doctor to get your health in a position to properly heal. Once planned, treatment is fast.
How much time should I take off from work following surgery?
Everyone heals and handles change a bit different, but for most patients, they can expect to take 3-5 days of taking things easy following placement of their All-on-4® Treatment Concept procedure. There have been patients who have returned to work the day following placement, but the average patient takes a few days to heal. After about seven days, you should start to feel good again; this is in part getting used to your new set of teeth.
Is the All-on-4® Treatment Concept procedure painful?
We don’t want our patients to ever be in pain, so we take care to offer the appropriate level of anesthetic. We will work with you to keep you pain and anxiety-free during the All-on-4® Treatment Concept procedure and healing. Any postoperative discomfort will be managed with either over the counter pain relief or prescription. Most patients find the discomfort to be minimal and seldom persists for more than the first few days.
We will want to see you for an appointment between 10 and 14 days following your surgery. During this follow-up appointment, we can see if healing is going as planned, and that there are no signs of complications including infection. By your next appointment, your implants should have fully bonded to the bone. Following bonding, we will want to see you twice a year for regular professional cleanings and checkups.
The All-on-4® Treatment Concept allows patients to eat with placement. Though bonding can take months, patients will begin with soft foods and gradually move to the foods they once loved.
Improved Quality of Life with All-on-4® Treatment Concept
If you are currently wearing dentures or considering dentures, the All-on-4® Treatment Concept can vastly improve your comfort and overall quality of life. Traditional dentures provide very limited function but have never been known for their ease of use or comfort. The All-on-4® Treatment Concept allows your dentures to be permanently retained using dental implants, giving patients a much larger range of function and wear. Our staff at Mountain Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center can provide this valuable addition, retaining your current dentures, or when customizing a new pair of dentures. Dr. Ryan are happy to evaluate your teeth, gums and entire oral cavity, and then design a treatment plan that is right for your needs.
We have all seen traditional dentures, whether in person or on tv. They are loose tooth and gum shaped plastic that people wear after they no longer have any healthy teeth remaining whether due to decay, gum disease, medical problems, or injury. Traditional dentures are loose, generally held in place with an over the counter adhesive, or suction. The biggest marketing campaign for most adhesives is if the patron can eat corn on the cob with the adhesive or not. We can tell you the end of that story; they can’t. In fact, most people who wear dentures find them at most, marginally functional. People with traditional loose dentures often feel social anxiety and frustration from wearing dentures. There is an option to greatly increase your function and comfort. Dr. Ryan can help.
No More Loose Dentures, no Adhesives, no Suction.
All-on-4® Treatment Concept takes those same loose traditional dentures and permanently attaches them. No more loose dentures, no adhesives, no suction. The dentures are secured with four dental implants in each arch.
A dental implant is a metal post that is surgically implanted in your jawbone. The patient is first anesthetized with the appropriate anesthetic for their needs, then Dr. Ryan will use a specialized dental drill to create space in the bone and then place the implant. The area is sutured closed for healing. When having the All-on-4® Treatment Concept performed, the process will require four dental implants. The implants used are different than standard dental implants, they are longer, and placed at an angle allowing them to reach thicker, denser, bone. This difference in implants means that a bone graft is not needed and that even patients who have been wearing dentures for years, can have their dentures permanently retained.
How is my quality of life improved with All-on-4® Treatment Concept?
After your dentures are permanently retained with implants, there is a period of healing. You will need to chew with caution for three to six months. This will allow the bone to have time to heal, while it heals the bone will heal around the implants fusing with the implants due to a natural process known as osseointegration. Once fused, the implants are firmly in place, giving you strong and stable teeth. With your implants firm, yes, you can eat that corn on the cob, and any other food you once loved, without the fear of your teeth coming out.
Post Surgery Healing
In the first months following the permanent placement of your implant retained dentures, the patient will need to take caution in the foods they eat. We will advise you to avoid foods that are tough, crunchy or hard. Once the implants have firmly taken hold, you can then resume eating your normal diet.

REFERRING DOCTORS LOVE US
"Had an overall great experience with Dr. Ryan. The staff was very courteous and professional. Most important, the work they did, (two implants, to hold lower dentures) was very secure and I'm free of the hassle and pain. I was concerned at first but he answered all my questions and the whole procedure went well. I definitely would recomend them if you need that type of work done. 2 thumbs up!"
~ Keith I.
"Best doc we have ever been to. My son felt safe and relaxed with him and his staff."

"The office is well run. Everyone I had contact with was friendly and knowledgeable. Procedures were explained and all questions answered. Oral surgery can be an intimidating proposition, but Dr. Ryan and his staff are sensitive to that by providing excellent pain management and results."
